This is a quilt I made last month with fabric scraps from my Twelve by Twelve projects. I dyed so much fabric, especially for the Colorplay series...
I'll try and use those fabrics for a new project that I can't show on the blog yet. I think I'm almost ready to start working on larger quilts again.
In the meantime, and when I'm not studying my Japanese vocabulary, I've been playing a lot in my sketchbooks, experimenting with watercolours and acrylics.
I also dug out some old sketchbooks that I had forgotten about...
Not sure I'm going to keep all this.... Maybe just cut out what I feel is usable... What do you think?

Your small quilt is a good way to remember all those fabrics you dyed for the challenges. I am loathe to throw out old work but it would be a good idea to save the pieces that you really like and that could maybe be developped for future work.
I think that's a great idea, you never know when a small piece of artwork is just what you needed to finish a piece, it's also a good inspiration for something else, sometimes.
I love that piece. I love that color combination. Have a nice week-end!!
I think I love what you dd with the left overs. Sometimes I like working smaller just to try something out
Wow, that quilt looks fabulous for just using up scraps!!!
I love the orange quilt at the top! I hope the Japanese studies are going well. On the way back from America, I sat next to a woman who was practising kanji with an iPad app. It looked really cool!
dans l'esprit du patchwork : garder tous les petits bouts et en faire un autre quilt...
I like the orange quilt. Great to use up scraps.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a nice day!
Love the colours in your quilt. I like to keep old or experimental pieces & will often recycle them into new pieces.
It's lovely work, all of it.
I am always impressed by your work! Beautiful!
I like your small quilt, especially the dark blue fabrics. Wonderful dyeing!
