Day 17

Day 17 of the 31 Day Blog Writing Challenge... I did well for the first week, and then I completely fell behind.
Anyway, I thought I would share this funny leaf I spotted the other day. It looked like it was trying to run away from me!

I am still working on the Japanese fabric quilt, a little everyday.

Saint Nicholas visited one week late this year. He brought cookies, chocolate and a few board games for the granddaughters, and a also pretty little braiding star (from Prym) for me.

The weather has been strangely mild. 15°C today. It's really hard to realize that it's almost the end of the year.

Day 14

Day 8

I spent most of the day cleaning, doing the laundry and other mundane things I don't want to blog about.
So instead, here are some pictures of my latest trip to Japan (in May) that I think I have not posted yet.

These pictures were taken in the area of Daikakuji temple.

It's situated North-West of Kyoto.

Day 3

Day 3 of the 31 Day Blog Writing Challenge...

This week, I started working with Japanese for Busy People III.
I had finished the volume II before going to Japan last spring. After this, I felt a little tired of studying and decided to take a break. Of course, I tried to maintain my Japanese as much as possible by watching movies, reading easy books and magazines, listening to podcasts and CDs and so on.
But now, I think it's time to start working seriously again!

On the quilting front, I did the machine stitching part of the binding this afternoon. Tonight, I'll do the hand-sewing.

I just signed up for Cheryl Sleboda's blogging challenge.
The challenge is very simple: you just have to blog once a day for 31 days!
I know, this is December. But why not?

So, my first post is written already. ;-)
