February

February is almost over, already!
This month, I spent more time studying Japanese than sewing, quilting or weaving.
I know about 100 kanji. It means that I know their meaning, but I'm not able yet to write them all correctly. But with this, I can sometimes understand simple sentences here and there on some Japanese websites and blogs.
I took care of my little granddaughter during Carnival week. This is her last painting...
Isn't it funny how her colour palette matches mine?

February was very cold and grey. I am totally ready for this...

Well done with the Japanese. I find it so difficult learning another language, French for me.
I love your grand daughters painting. Looks like a Master.

Fantastic that your can read more than kanji characters. Well done. When are your plan to visit Japan to practice it? I love your new weaving project. I haven't got time to weave these days - Hugs Nat

I really admire the fact that you're learning Japanese, it looks such a hard language to master. Your granddaughter's painting is so beautiful, wonderful colours, and your woven piece is just perfect :-)

Well done on your Japanese language study - very challenging I'm sure. Lovely weaving and your grandaughter's painting is great too.

The weaving-I'd like to hear more about the lovely weaving in the photo? Congratulations on learning Japanese. It's so tough. I remember driving the streets in Okinawa, realizing that I couldn't read any of the street signs. Grocery shopping was hilarious as we'd stare at the cans, trying to figure out what was in them :-) It was so fun just to explore there.
