Our ryokan in Tokyo was in a quiet little street not far from Ueno park. As we arrived in the early afternoon after many hours without sleep, the main goal was to stay awake until the evening...
We visited a nearby shrine...
We took a big walk in Ueno park...
Then we had tempura, vegetables, miso soup and rice for supper (and a "biru" for DH)
Then, off to bed (or rather to futon, as we had booked a Japanese-style room).

Thanks for sharing your trip to Japan. I feel like I am re-visiting
as we stayed in Ueno also. I love that area..so close to many interesting things to do. The park is a great place to spend time...museum was great.
Can't wait to see more.

Looks like you stayed in a lovely area, and your meal looks wonderful.
Very good for you I would imagine.
How was the futon?
