This is another winter postcard I did a few days ago. It was inspired by this picture I took in Avoriaz a long long time ago:
This is the postcard before I stitched it. I used three pieces of fabric: one for the sky, one for the mountains, and one for the ski slope in the foreground. I drew the mountains with watercolour pencils.

This is excellent Francoise. you have captured the essence of these mountains perfectly. Brilliant.
This is a lovely postcard Francoise, simple, but so effective.
Very lovely!
It is wonderful. You did a great job with the pencils and the stitching.
I love the simplicity of this Francoise- very effective
What a clever idea to use the watercolour pencils in this way. Really lovely :)
Beautiful Francoise, it looks so tranquil
This is a beautiful piece. I am very interested in using water colour pencils on fabric. Do you use dry or wet pencils on dry or wet fabric? Do you treat the fabric when the drawing is finished? Before or after quilting? Thanks!
Francoise, this is so beautiful. It really captures the essence of calm and purity. Just beautiful!
