I made 2 more samples using herringbone stitch... The first one is more or less ok, I think.
I don't like the second one. It was based on this sketch:
I'm not very much inspired today, and I'm a little sick... I think I'm gonna throw these two samples in my "recycling" box. Maybe, I'll use them for my paper-fabric experiments.
Now, I'm gonna make myself a cup of coffee, and skim through some of my new books.

I like them...I don't care what you say! Hope you feel better soon!
That's the beauty of TAST - it's only about taking the stitch, not making a project. These are nice samples and will be a great resource to round out a future project.
Oh I love herringbone stitch. Maybe you'll feel better about your work when you feel better in yourself.
I really like that second piece!
I think they are lovely and I agree with Vicki!
Hope you are feeling better - relax and recharge!
I like them too! They don't belong in your recyling box. Hope you feel better soon.
I like them too! Although I am pretty biased when it comes to the colour blue :). I'm sure that the projects that you create from your recycling bin are amazing, if you are relegating stuff like these samples to the bin ;). I am also intrigued with your dyeing adventures. That something that I would like to try. I will be coming back for help with that!
Peggy
I like them both but I really the one you don't like (the second) - I think it has a real contemporary feel about it - its great
I really love that second sampler. It's so elegant looking.
I like both your samples, but particularly the second one! Maybe you're not so keen because there is less colour contrast? Hope you're feeling better soon :)
felicidades y tomando inpiracion en la tela. me gusta el azul
I like them both, too. What size are you making these? I need to do something for TAST, but haven't a clue.
I hope you feel better soon.
Thank you Micki and everybody. These samples are pretty small.
The first one is about 2x4 (inches). And the second one is about the size of a postcard.
I love the two Francoise, so don't you dare throw them in the recycling bin. Unless you post the contents of the bin to Wales. I particularly like the 2nd. I wonder why you don't like it?
