Today, I signed up for the Take a Stitch Tuesday challenge.
It is organized by Sharon B, and it will start at the beginning of January.
Here are two pictures of a few french knots I stitched a long time ago...

Thanks for sharing the info about the stitching challenge - sounds very interesting. Love your f knot samples, esp with the red as it has 'zing' :)
French knots are so fun to make. Take A Stitch Tuesday sounds interesting. Not sure if I can fit it in though. I'll be curious to see what you are doing.
For some reason I can't leave a comment under my name, But, I wanted to say that I love all your french knots. Can you tell us how you created the different sizes? Is it due to different thread or how many times you wrapped the thread around the needle?
Joanna
Hi Joanna, I guess you should switch to Beta Blogger one of this days (or nights?)
:-)
I usually wrap the thread two ot three times around the needle. The threads go from thin embroidery threads to thick knitting yarns.
Think I'll join too. Theres no pressure and it could be a useful learning exercise. Like the idea of a fabric book full of stitches something like the one in Beryl Taylors book.
Can't stop looking at your blues and reds french knots btw. Those colours worked really well together.
Love your knots! I'm doing Stitch Tuesdays too, but I'm just learning.
Thanks for spreading the word I appreciate it - the challenge should be fun
Françoise,
