Recycling

For this swap, the challenge was to use wool in the postcards. I decided to felt an old sweater in the washing machine. I first washed it at 60°C, but this was not enough. So I washed it again, at 90°C... This time, it worked very well. And to think I am sometimes afraid to put a new sweater in the washing machine! For the first design, I used my homemade "kokoro" stencil with a silver oil painstick.

I like these - simple, but effective :)

Red, grey & a dash of black - how perfect is that!
Did you have to stabilise the knitted fabric before sewing on top?

Yes, but only for the little embroidered black hearts and for the straight (no so straight...) black lines.
There was no need to do it when there was fabric fused on top of the knitted wool.

Absolutely brilliant - what a great way to use an old sweater and the colour combination is just lovely. Anna
