I've been playing with my fabric scraps. I sewed three little blocks and put them on a blue background just to see what it would look like. I don't want a black background this time... I think the bottom block just needs to be moved a tiny bit to the right.

This is very effective and I really like the blue background. Amazing what can be done with a few scraps :)
It's looking great. Lucky you getting to play. I wish I could, but other project commitments are taking over at the moment.
I like the arrangement. & it gives you plenty of opportunity to do something nice with the quilting.
I can only echo what has been said about the design...it pretty cool. What are the measurements of the piece?
