A nice afternoon

I spent a couple of hours yesterday afternoon working on my greeting cards.
I'm almost done with the fabric cards but I still want to make some paper ones. It's not too late, but I'd better hurry if I want to send them before Christmas.
While working on my fabric cards, I unearthed this little doll I made a few weeks ago.

It's just a small prototype and it was lying under a pile of Colorplay fabrics. Now it's smiling at me while I'm sitting at my desk.
And next is one of my candidate quilts for metamorphosis...

It's hanging on my design wall right now. And I'm just wondering... Shall I cut it up? Yes? No?...

Lovely peeks of the cards! I planned to make some, but I still didn’t manage.

I think you are able to cut up the quilt and make a metamorphosis quilt that will even be more beautiful!

Beautiful cards, and the doll is charming.

I think it would be very brave to cut up your quilt but I agree with Nicolette I think you could make something incredible with it, it has so many lovely different elements. I love the right hand side with the T shapes for instance, it would look great on it's own.,

Yes, I think this is a good candidate for a quilt to cut up. The right side doesn't seem to relate much to the rest of the quilt and is distracting. Go for it!

I find it so odd-when I am brave enough to cut one up, I always wonder why it took me so long to do it.

You will know better than us whether you need to have it be something else!

To me, either way would be great.

The colors are interesting and dramatic. It seems very static the way it is oriented on your blog. Turn it so it is vertical, it losses the static quality, and it just needs a little tweeking. Try it before you cut it up.

Goodness, annieQ, you are right. Turning it to vertical resolves the issues I had with it. A good reminder...
