I'm back

This is a detail of a quilt I should have posted before leaving for England ten days ago...
But I'm afraid I forgot to do it!
And the next one is a tiny quilt I made for a swap I was having with friends in Birmingham. This one, I was not supposed to show before going...

The Festival of Quilts was great as usual. The galleries were awesome. This year, my absolute favourite quilts were those made by Ingrid Press. She's a member of the group "Hanging Together" which btw also had an exhibit this year. Of course there were many others I liked too. More about this in another post, hopefully.
I met a lot of people, old and new friends. And I had the great pleasure to meet the lovely Digital Gran in real for the first time...

We've been friends for many years but had never met in person.
And here's what I brought back in my luggage...

Sandra Meech's, Yoshiko Jinzenji's, and Claire Benn and Leslie Morgan's new books. I also bought a book on silk paper by Sarah Lawrence. I watched her doing a demo and she was really great. And then, some threads and paints of course, almost no fabric, and just some other goodies. In a few words, much less than I could have bought...

I love both of the quilts Francoise and you have lots of reading to do there as well.

You look as if you had a fabulous time at the show, so sad not to have been there this year.
I didn't know SM had bought out another book, I'm a huge fan of her work, will have to have this one.

Your quilts are gorgeous, I love them both.

Many thanks for dropping in on my blog, great to see you there.

Lucky thing Francoise! Love your quilts too. Some interesting looking books. I have the silk paper one - it's very good.

I love both quilts Francoise. The textures of your thermal prints are fantastic. I bought the Sandra Meech book and I would probably have bought the others too if I hadn't talked so much :) It was lovely to meet you and Marlis there and almost at the sane time.
