Of snow and chairs

We are enjoying some snow again. And I'm so glad I didn't have to drive yesterday... The roads were quite slippery.
I took this picture from inside as it is really cold today. It was -13°C this morning, which is completely unusual here.
The dog thinks this is very funny and keeps on asking to go and play in the garden.
Here he is coming back from a little outing...

Then, of course, he needs to take a nap until next playtime...I started working on my 12x12 "Chairs" quilt. I made a lot of sketches on paper, and also in my head (during the night). Today, I thought it was time for me to start sewing, otherwise I might become a real insomniac...The piecing is done. Tomorrow, I'll start the quilting and embroidery.
A few days ago, I did sign up for the new Creative Every Day Challenge at Leah's blog. It is a very gentle challenge, no hard rules, but I hope it will remind me to spend more time every day in my little studio.

Yeah! You've got snow. But, where is the package I sent you?

It’s cold overhere as well, but living near the coast makes it bearable.

Love the idea of the Creative Every Day Challenge!!

C'est beau le pays enneigé !! Belle photo comme on a pas souvent l'occasion d'en faire ici. Et c'est vrai aussi que - si on peut rester à l'intérieur - cela invite à jouer un peu avec nos fils et tissus...

At least you've got some snow with the cold, all we've got is frost and more frost.
The paintings for the chair quilt are looking intriguing, love the little sketches.
I'm hearing a lot about this Creative Every Day Challenge, think I'll have to investigate.

I just love snow, but we hardly have any the last few years. I just popped in to wish you a very happy new year.
