I've been knitting

This is only a prototype... I've seen so many lovely socks on so many blogs, like the ones on Shirley's Dyeing2Design or on Kim's SkybellArts... Then, the other day, my friend Marie-Paule told me about the wonderful socks she knits for her hubby... I couldn't resist anymore. I had to have a go at sock knitting... So, now I'm making myself a prototype with plain yarn... Hopefully, I'll soon be able to indulge in some of the fancy yarns I've spotted in a shop last week... (Must be the real reason why I've started to knit again!)
On the quilting front, I've finished one of my Twelve by Twelve community quilts. Here's a little peek...
The other one is ready to be quilted...
Next week, I plan to work on some ATCs and fiber postcards swaps, finish this 12x12 quilt, and think about a few new quilts. I must also try and finish my March Take it Further challenge. As the weather is quite awful these days, I should have plenty of time to spend inside.

The peeks are promising!
I love to knit, but the small size needles you need to knit socks... it’s not my piece of cake.
I’ve been visiting your blog with all the wonderful postcards and little quilts. You are so talented and inspirational!

Those little Xs are so cute -- I'm intrigued.

I knit lots of rectangles, but am not brave enough to try socks.

I love hand knitted socks---I used to knit them when I first got married but my fingers won't allow me to knit anymore.

Now there's a challenge, Francoise, knitting socks!! My mother was a fantastic knitter and showed me how to knit socks which I did fro my father one xmas when I was about 13, he loved them. I seem to remember the tricky bit was turning the heel.
Lovely little snippets of your 12x12 quilts, that sounds such a nice size challenge. Is that an applied stamp on the second one?
Love your little cross stitches, and your colours are wonderful.

Looks like you've a great start on your prototype. For April I'm knitting anklet socks - I'm looking for ideas and patterns this week.

I also love the cross stitches.

I have just been nominated for an award by Margaret S as a blog that’ brings her inspiration and makes her appreciate the blogosphere’, and of course I have to do the same to 10 blogs that do it for me! You therefore meet the criteria that I would expect of such a blog. So consider yourself nominated!!!!!!!!! And only if you have the time please do the same for 10 other such inspiring sites.
