Gelatine, fabric, paint and a few other things

Last week, I tried gelatine printing for the first time... and maybe the last time too... Of course, I couldn't wait long enough for the gelatine to get very firm. And my first prints were rather disgusting... gelatine all over the fabric! Fortunately, it washed out easily.
Anyway, I think I prefer the prints I get when using a glass plate...
I'm much happier with the results of my yesterday playtime. I had to make textured papers for my Creative Computing course at DesignMatters.
These are my two favourite papers...

And a closer look at them...
...Nothing new on the quilting front, except that I've finished a very traditional log cabin quilt that I had forgotten about. I had made the top several years ago, and never quilted it. But now it's done! I'm going to take it on the boat for the cool summer nights.

I've never tried gelatin printing either and I feel certain it's not for me. I love your textured papers though and to be honest your gelatine print is very beautiful too.

Blogger refused to accept my comment yesterday so I'll try again: I love the textured papers!
Gelatin printing is also on my list but I haven't gotten round to it yet. Somehow I have my doubts if it will be worth the trouble.

Hi Francoise
I had the same trouble as Laura yesterday, so heres hoping Blogger will be nice tonight.
I love your beautiful traditional quilt, I always fancied making one like this but got side tracked on lots of other things, as usual.
Your papers are wonderful colours, the course sounds like fun.
I've never heard of gelatine printing either, I like linocut and monoprinting, so maybe i should look into this.
Your fabric sample looks great, love the colours.
