Autumn bark

Two fabric postcards, based on my own pictures of bark.
a detail...
Each time, I started with hand embroidery, and added machine stitching afterwards.

I love your successful attempt at "bark." I, too have been playing with bark - take a look at my leaf challenge with the squirrel. I had a grand time making this bark. (but I like yours more!!)
