Blue quilt

My new quilt is ready for its trip to Japan next month. The challenge I received was to interpret the work of Japanese writer Ichiyo Higuchi. I chose her novel "Takekurabe" in which a little girl turns into a young woman. Her destiny is to become a geisha.
Here's a detail of the kimono.

This is fabulous. One of your best quilts yet I think. If it were me I would be very worried about sending it all the way to Japan on its own. Its beautiful.

I like it too. It is so simple, and yet there is a lot to draw you in for a closer look. Well done.
