A gorgeous day

Probably the last calendula of the year in my garden... While my dog is getting ready to hibernate...
... outside, the lavatera is blooming! Isn't it incredible? Today, I'm sewing the beads, the sleeve and the label on my quilt. I'll be glad to move onto something else!

Your flowers are great. I love the color of your calendula and many of my flowers are the same color. Don't you just love the way dogs look when the are sleeping.

Ahh, the end of a season.
I like your quilt; the black sets it off very well. You sound ready to move onto another project.

I planted calendulas in my yard once. I had visions of using them for dying fabric, but before more that a few could bloom, a hungry moose came along & ate evey blessed one of my plants. Over $100.00 worth of flowers! I told the nursery that I bought them from, they should label them "Moose Food"!
