First I made a top with more squares:
I glued the squares with temporary spray glue, and I thought it needed some ironing. Then, disaster... After ironing, ugly spots appeared on some of the squares!!
I don't know if it's because the glue was too old, or anything else. I didn't use it much before, but I never had any problem with it...After thinking of throwing everything away, I took a deep breath and I was able to rescue nine squares and make a new top with them... I cannot resist posting another blue detail...
Voici le petit quilt que j'ai réalisé avec mes impressions de feuilles. Au départ, j'avais employé douze carrés pour le top. Je les avais collés avec de la colle temporaire en spray. Puis je me suis dit qu'il fallait un peu repasser... Désastre!!! Des taches affreuses sont apparues (comme sur le carré rose). J'ai failli tout jeter à la poubelle. Mais j'ai finalement réussi à sauver neuf carrés et à en faire un petit quilt. Je ne peux pas résister au plaisir d'encore poster un détail bleu...

I think I like the way it looks better with just the 9 blocks. Can the other squares be washed to remove the spots, or maybe you could spatter them with paint, so they look like the spots are all part of the design, & make another small wall hanging with the spattered ones. The late Bob Ross would call something like that a "Happy accident".
I love the colours and simplicity of your leaf quilt. Just 9 looks more balanced. Very nice!Cheers from Alison.
I wondered the same as deb H could they be washed? Let us know please if you do wash them- if it works. You never know when we may need to use your knowledge? I really like the 9 block too. well drescued. well done.
